Composed Beds and Permaculture

Raised beds are an innovative farming technique that are especially useful in areas that have nutrient poor soil. The beds decrease soil compaction, isolate fertile soil, prevent erosion during heavy rain and serve as a barrier against garden pests such as slugs and snails
Glass bottles are especially useful in the construction of raised garden beds. Using bottles as retaining walls makes the beds weather resistant, provide good drainage, reduces the cost of construction and reuses a common waste product. Farmers can spread compost inside the raised beds which is a good and free soil for growing vegetables.
